The first job I had out of high school was at a small, family owned business
and the member of the family who was effectively the CEO had a new one that he
sent me out in a few times to run errands. What a piece of crap, but it got good
fuel economy which was the point. What I drove at the time would've made two
Chevettes and drank fuel like crazy but would've been much more survivable in a
crash vs. the tin can little Chevy.

I learned a lot from my Chevy Chevette.. I learned how to replace a water pump,
how to replace an alternator, how to replace a timing chain, how to replace a
heater core, how to replace an entire car with a better car...
