From the body lines/bumper it looks to be a classic car... and the metal is
obviously aluminum... and all the lines radiate from the engine bay... and there
is a lot of it. I'd guess this used to be someone's restored car with aluminum
heads / block. Sad.

I'm thinking is was the aluminium rims.

Good observations, both of 'em. There wasn't much aluminum on those classics.
