Thankfully we have some at home, because I do speak a lot of shit
The supermarket shelves are crazy here. No pasta, no rice, no toilet paper, no
hand sanitizer.. There's like 15 cases in my state of 4 million people, and it's
like the zombie apocalypse. They're talking about shutting down schools now, and
all public gatherings
But the Grand Prix is going ahead this weekend
You can see where the money goes here. It costs so much to put on/setup the
race, as soon as all the F1 teams arrived from, say, Italy.. they've now banned
all incoming passengers, joining China, South Korea and Iran. Even though all of
Italy is now blockaded over there, we were still letting Italians in until
today.
Still, I was out for dinner last night and sat at the table next to Sebastian
Vettel (if you know F1 you know who he is). Hopefully he didn't have the virus..

There is way too much paranoia surrounding the corona virus. If you take
precautions against the flu then you are doing the right think to protect
against corona. also if people are afraid of their Corona Beer they can ship it
to me, I will drink it for them.

One of the F1 teams has just announced they're pulling out of the F1 GP this
weekend, so that's probably dead now. An engineer tested positive and has been
in close contact with all the other team members + others in the pits.
So yeah I reckon it's time to stock up on beer and weed and wait for this to all
blow over.

Fuck all the nonsense, just do like I did and move to the middle of no-where
East Texas, pop. 1969 and have a nice day.
Odds are by maybe next year we'll find someone here that heard of someone who
had the fuckin corona virus and they'll share a Corona, though most likely a
Bud-Light and laugh about all the BS the city folk experienced.
Life amongst the cotton farmers here is satisfyingly much simpler, while also
infinitely more logical and ... Rum-Depot is just 20 minutes down the road

Kim, the middle of nowhere is sounding more and more appealing to me each day

Man I wish I could hide and punch some cones, that'd be ace.
We're going to spend at least next week at my wife's parents place, which is in
a little country town. Not quite middle of nowhere because there's some big
regional cities nearby, but population of maybe 2000 in the town itself.
My work has told all staff to work from home from Monday this week; prior to
that, I was told that I'm not allowed to be in the same place as my boss,
mitigation of "key man risks" in the teams.
I'm still not really seeing the urgency behind it all, except for the fact that
my lungs are a bit fucked so I'd probably be better of not getting anything.
Ah well.

It seems to me that the urgency is all about that we don't know what we don't
know. What we do know is that if prudent steps are not taken a lot of people can
die. And we want to do that while we pretty much keep everything else running.
So yeah mate, smoke 'em if you got 'em. I'll just kick back and kill a few
bottles of Johnnie Walker.
