You must be very bored
In theory it's meant to choose the "least detailed" corner, for
pictures etc.
The problem is that also often means "where the text is" in these
fancy new fangled internet pictures where there's a joke or a meme or whatever
under a picture, because black and white text is less detail than a picture of
some jerk doing stuff.

which is why I guessed bottom left
try this though...look at the pic above, background is white...click on it for
fullsize and background is black and you can see the whole image...

Transparent background; site's background is white, so it shows as white.
when you click on the pic and it displays full size with no markup from the
site, your browser will display it differently based on the file format (jpg,
gif, png, etc)
