Ouch! Pole dancing, Ferrari style
Getting into the cricket-and-Christmas swing of things proved an expensive
exercise for one Ferrari owner.
This is the sort of thing that can really ruin your day.
The story goes that the driver had been enjoying watching the third game of The
Ashes at the Windsor Hotel, South Perth Australia, before he got into his
2006 Ferrari Modena.
Whether he was trying to impress a group of ladies outside the hotel, isn’t
for us to say. (Although that’s what we’ve heard.)
What happened next is expensively apparent.
“He took off from the lights and understeered straight into the pole,”
we’re told by the original source of our photos (who got them from a friend of
a friend, he says).
And the road wasn’t even wet.
Another wag who also sent us the photos did the sums:
2006 Ferrari Modena with 1200kms on the odometer = $325,000
Insurance on Ferrari Modena = $6000
10 Pints of favourite beer = $80
The facial expression as the driver realises the insurance company is
not going to pay out whilst drink-driving as he power-slides into a traffic
light = Priceless.
At least no-one was hurt – although we can’t speak for the owner’s pride.
And at least he didn’t go into the pole backwards…
