Hi John!!!
I wish there was a way that could actually get an email to you that I was
positive you actually read personally as you are truly a great inspiration to
me. I have been watching you for many years. Actually I have been watching you
for as far back as "Welcome back Kotter". I think the plane idea is
absolutely a dream. I mean to actually have a 707 jet at your doorstep is
unbelievable. You rule! Keep it up John. The world loves you.
Anonymous Report This Comment Date: December 02, 2004 11:01AM
You peace of shit. You have a Boeing 707 parked by your house while millions of
kids are starving all over the world! Do you know how many lives you could save
if you sold that thing abd built a hospital in some third world country? You
make me sick.
Anonymous Report This Comment Date: December 11, 2004 01:51PM
That would be "piece" of shit.
Anonymous Report This Comment Date: December 12, 2004 07:21PM
I agree with anonymous. have you no shame? do you think you're that much more
important than everyone else? people like you purchase your bubbles of
ignorance. it's so easy to ignor the world when you can afford not to live in
it.
Give_me_a_break Report This Comment Date: December 13, 2004 10:25AM
Why shouldn't John have his own plane, or 2,3 or 10. He busted his ass to get
where he is and if he chooses to spend his money on his own frivilous items so
be it. The kids you refer to all over the world are his problem how? I am a
bit confused. How much should he contribute to satisfy your concern. You know
he could probably build a hospital or two but really it costs considerable
amounts of money to keep the infrastructure running. Does he have to pay for
that as well. You people that accuse John of being a piece of shit or shameless
should really think about what you say before you make blanket statements that
only reflect your lack of understanding of real world politics. Why call the
guy any names. I doesn't make sense at all. I don't know him, or even like the
guys work all that much but I respect that he has done well in his chosen
profession. Next time you ignorant Anonymous posters write something critically
think first then write.
just_wondering Report This Comment Date: December 13, 2004 01:33PM
Why then is it we respect religious leaders vows of poverty? Is not the
glorification of one self regarded as base in all societies at some point of
excess? I think what people are responding to is excess. Why a Boing 707? Why
keep it at your home? I don't think it is Mr. Travolta's wealth that bothers
those who posted here, I think it is showing off, bragging about one's excess.
These photos were allowed to be taken by Mr. Travolta. They include one taken
from inside his home. Clearly he allowed that. Why? What is his point? Aside
from boastfully showing off his wealth and attempting to glorify himself I can
see none.
Give_me_a_break Report This Comment Date: December 13, 2004 11:45PM
I highly doubt that he took the pictures. Rather probably some magazine or
newspaper that really gets off on wealth such as this. And is a Boeing 707
really excess for Travolta. Maybe he should have a 747. I don't know but
excess is a relative term. Whats excess to him may not be for us and vice
versus. The reason he keeps it at home is because he wants it at home. I keep
my car at home and my bicycle. That is no different. And by the way ,I have a
really nice super expensive bicycle... (Sarcasm) You say he brags about his
excess but maybe he is showing his success. I don't agree or disagree with what
anyone here says. Everyone has a right to their opinion, but don't care so much
as to slander the man because he had the in's and talent to make it in the movie
business. Just remember that its our money thats lining his pockets. If people
were so concerned about hospitals in the needing countries rather than watching
his movies then they could have spent their hard earned dollars there. As I
said earlier, I don't like his acting personally but, good for him. I think it
might be neat someday as to own my own plane and know how to fly it.
Regards.

As a brief response to your comment on religious leaders... When you use the
term 'we' you are refering to your family, your government, your church, your
race or your country? I am unclear? I don't regard personally world religious
leaders opinion in any matter. Their views and opinions are shaped from totally
different set of values and beliefs than my own. Although I don't follow a
religion myself and through experience concluded there isn't a God or other
greater being, I still and can respect others for their views and opinion,
religious or other. But I can see for myself as I have travelled a great deal
in Africa and S. America that poverty exists. You know what... I am not even
gonna try and keep writing as the second sentence of yours isnt even legible in
the english language "Is not the glorification of one self regarded as base
in all societies at some point of excess?"... All I know is that John
Travolta is only famous and exposed because we made him that way.

There hundreds of airliners rotting or being bulldozed in the deserts because
there are not economically feasible to operate. By owning and operating this 707
John is actually saving a bit of history of an airplane that kick off the jet
age.
Way to go John!
BTW, I don't care much for your acting either, but you seem to be a person of
values and you deserve what you have.

way to go John. I think its so cool. I'm sure he has made more than his fair
contributions to chairities. Some of you should realize that most have dreams
but only a few do what is required to relize them. I want a jet in my driveway!

I think it's obvious that he really likes airplanes and likes to fly. I fly and
own my own airplane. If I had John's cash I'd do the same thing. Not to
mention most pilots would love to live with their planes on a private air park.
As far as large jet aircraft go, the boeing 707 is not as expensive as you think
compared to other aircraft of it's class. An example would be to compare the 707
to the much younger, modern 737. Keep flying John.

I'm guessing that John has donated money to charity somewhere along the way in
his life.
And I'm also guessing it was most certainly alot more than what
"Anonymous@92143" has ever donated in their life.
Kudos to what Todd@142217 said in his last sentance.

Don't listen to all of the bleeding heart libs that posted earlier. You
earned the cash, spent it how you will. If they want to build hospitals and
save the world they need to get off of their asses and earn some cash so they
can do it themselves. Pimp on brother.

Im not sure I should even say anything to those that are jealous of John's
wealth as they will never probably come back to read other people's reviews. I
think that John is an inspiration for alot of people in the world, not just the
United States. I know that John is a very generous person and Im sure he has
helped numerous people all over the world. He lives in a private airpark and
people can not just drive by his house. I don't think he is showing off just by
having one of the first commercial jetliner's in front of his house. If I had
his money, I would do the same. I don't know that much about Scientology so I
can't say anything about that. He is lucky to have had 2 wonderful ladies as his
wife. I wish him the best with his new wife and family. I hope to one day meet
him in person. I too am an airplane fanatic. Maybe one day he might visit my
paradise Island of Roatan.
