You people are total idiots. Even if we knew for sure there would be an attack
but didn't know when, what do you think we could have done differently? Do you
think they could have shut down air travel for days weeek or months? You people
are so fucking stupid.

I seem to recall that some info regarding the pilot training reached an
intelligence agency or the FBI, but nothing was done. Seem to also recall there
was investigation into why nothing was done. Ring any bells?
jgoins, you reckon no one could have done anything.
What about following up on the intel. that they had, but ignored?

No one needs advanced knowledge to scramble fighter jets after a commercial
plane that is off course.
The plan to scramble jets after a commercial airliner that is off course and
possibly highjacked was setup in the 1970s.
The Bush admin didn't need to be superman. They just needed to be human enough
to follow the security guidelines already in place.
aDCBeast Report This Comment Date: October 03, 2006 12:40PM
But the entire Bush admin is seeing the end is near and they don't want to go to
jail. So they are trying to "forget" 9-11 anyway they can.
zxz555 Report This Comment Date: October 03, 2006 05:25PM
They did scramble fighter jets on 9/11. Two of them over NY. That is part of
the controversy, they were deliberately sent on a wild goose chase hundreds of
miles off course, so that the terrorists could succeed.

YES. The airline industry and businesses losing some money versus 3000 American
lives?

If we had shot down the planes before they hit there targets you people would
have been screaming for the admins blood even more then you do now. At the time
the only things hijackers did before was to take the planes to some other
location so how would anyone at the time know for sure they would have been used
as missles? I remember thinking at the time that the administration would be
damned if they do and damed if they don't.

Isn't amazing all these people who have the security clearance to have
personally read all the proposed “Evidence” and formulated such highly
expert opinions are all here in one place?
Geeze I feel so special to associate with the likes!
Option 2 of course is that they sway like the wind and regurgitate whatever
inflammatory political bullshit the media slings at us today, all so convinced
as to the validity of the “Evidence” they hear about on the evening news,
internet, or from friends who generally share the same opinion.
The only argument in the world you will find where people defend things they
know nothing about more than religion is one regarding politics.
Wake up people, 99.9% of the population of most civilized countries live in a
political microcosm, and now mater how loud they shout or bitch about this or
that they will never have all the details to form anything other than
opinion.
Those few who do have more informed sources generally do not rant in public
forums with the “I have it all figured out, let me tell y’all how it really
is” attitude.
Note here that the location of this post casts light upon which category all of
you (Including myself) fall into…
Now opinions I agree you are certainly entitled to, however have the backbone to
present them as such and not try to reinforce them with piecemealed facts.

But it was the only plane that fighter jets got anywhere near.

Your comments are precisely why I love posting here.
I repeat what is either said, or has been submitted to congress, government
official has said, or the a Bush administration official has said and these
people deny it.
To me it confirms that most of the american people have been cultured to live in
denial from politicians to the media.

Beast, nothing you post is fact only your opinion. I have clearly stated in
many of my post "in my opinion". There are no facts stating the
flight was shot down but many of them indicating the passangers took down the
flight but you jump to the opinion that it was shot down. Put your brain back
in and stop playing with it.

you obviously know nothing about the law.
Speaking on the record before a congressional committee, writing official
documents, and speaking to the media is not hearsay.
again you prove you moron status.

Ah .. a conspiracy theorist. No plane was found? LOL!
The US Army gathered the plane remnants from multiple locations.
Flight 93 was shot down down by an F-16 as admitted by Donald Rumsfeld.

but also not necessarily the gospel either.
people don't religiously tell the truth just because they're under oath,
especially when talking to the press
aDCBeast Report This Comment Date: October 09, 2006 07:48PM
But you can be prosecuted for what you say to the media even if not under oath.
Lying to the american public while in the capacity of your job about matters

anyone who lies to congress, in official documents, and speaking to the media
while performing their job for the purpose of misleading the american people are
subject to legal scrutiny.
