Looks doubtful that he pulled out of this one ok. Ejecting too close to the ground and at a bad trajectory. Even if propellant blows him 100 to 150ft clear of the wreckage, the 'chute probably wont have time to deploy and be of any benefit.

ya better check that rocket propelled speed of the ejector seat minus the forward motion of the plane divided by the hardness of the ground times the number of pilot revolutions before impact before making that claim.

I think it's nice of that pilot to stay with the aircraft until the very last second so that he could fly it into the very center of the crowd.

If the pilot survived the ejection, he was probably the only person in the photo who is still alive.
