I remember a trip on the Amtrak that went through dry counties and they had to not sell booze in the lounge car while were passing through..

I remember being in Fargo ND and not being able to get booze on Sunday but at the same time you could buy booze in Moorhead MN..Fargo and Moorhead are essentially one big city...

Been through drive-thru liquor stores in Missouri..

I used to buy whisky sours to go from a small town bar in Minnesota..it was legal for them to sell it but not legal for you to have an open container of alcohol in a car and not legal to drink in public..so you could only walk home and drink it there..

The Texas map is incorrect. There's state wide laws on the times spirits can be sold so it should be all yellow.

'berto, the link you provided made my point quite well.

"Texas law prohibits sale of liquor for off-premises consumption all day on Sundays and sale of beer and wine for off-premises consumption before 12:01 p.m. on Sundays" is shown in the text but other state wide laws it dudn mention are that liquor can only be sold for off premises consumption mon-sat from 9am - 9pm, or that beer and wine can be sold mon-fri from 9am-12 midnight and on saturdays from 9am-1am, then on sundees from 12 noon to 9pm for off premises consumption.

Bars however are allowed to operate mon-sat from 9am -2am and sell any kind of alcohol. Then on sundees they can't open til noon and I think again are limited to selling up to 9pm. Bars also can not sell any kinda spirits except for consumption on their premises

This means the areas on the map of Texas showing they have NO laws regarding the sale of beer, wine or liquor is incorrect as the above laws apply to every county in Texas (*binladen*)

Many moons ago while traveling in Kansas they only allowed "private clubs" to sell booze. At my motel they offered a roll your own club membership that was purchased in $2 increments. They would then sell you a set up/mixer for $1 outright then each shot of booze cost .25s off your membership.

This allowed me to get pretty hammered on the cheap since I was orderin a triple shot of scotch n water for $1.75 thumbs

You know why you never play golf with a Baptist?

He'll drink all your beer
