It is the residence which compromises the Japanese style and Western style, from Taisho era final period extending through Showa era first stage, became popular in Japan.
It is feature to allot the Western style receiving room of the triangular roof to entryway side of the Japanese-style residence.
In Nagaoka city you do not happen to see completely with war damage, but these residences decreased number very even in Niigata city partly due to the fact that 70 years or more it has elapsed.
Kashiwazaki city (Niigata pref.), Utsunomiya city (Tochigi pref.), Kumagaya city (Saitama pref.), Matsumoto city (Nagano pref.), Kure city (Hiroshima pref.) and Yokohama city the like with it can see in other things.

I want to live in a house like this.
In Niigata city, houses like this what I knouw are... only 15 houses.
