Oh Dear the old thing about how the u.s saved the British .i suggest he reads the history books a bit better.as far as them saving the british goes the us only became involved when hitler declared war on the u.s. hitler was on the verge of developing the atom bomb and the u.s. was his next target he hafd the capability to reach the u.s. with atomic weapons and the u.s. had nothing.they needed the british to let them use the u.k. for bases as they had nothing within range of germany.so as far as saving the british that theory goes out the window .all this is documented fact in history but i dont suppose you bothered to look .
