but don't you idiots get it? the tax cuts are part of the reason that we're in such a huge defecit right now. now that bush has pledged to cut the defecit in half, what does he do, return the taxes to what they were during the surplus? nope, he cuts government funding everywhere EXCEPT oil-related spending (drilling in ANWR which is gonna happen under the new budget..., no automotive cuts, MAJOR public transportation cuts, COMPLETELY cut government funding for amtrak). AND the budget resolution doesn't count the hundreds of billions that are gonna be spent in Iraq and Afghanistan. so are we better off with the tax cuts, no.
