I really think we're overdrugging our kids. My teachers attempted to give me medication as though I had ADD. My parents refused, and they were right in doing so.

The simple truth of it was I have an IQ of 130 (well above average, but miles away from Einstein) so I would finish my work far faster than anyone else in the class. I was bored by how easy the work was and how quick I could get it down, so I'd bother my classmates who weren't done and were struggling. As I matured I started to either read books or draw when I finished my work instead and was no longer a problem.

Sometimes people just need to pay attention to their kids instead of drugging them. Most of the kids that have shot up schools were medicated.
