"Cascadia" is the zone between northern California and Canadian British Columbia, west of the Cascade mountain range to the Pacific ocean. It shares a common ecoregion, and, oddly, a common socio-economic philosophy. It is also the area described in Ernest Callenbach's books "Ecotopia", and "Ecotopia Rising". As a political entity, no Cascadia does not exist. (yet.)
