Jaguar was a losing money when Ford bought them in 1989 (and they still are). You think they took control and then said, "Keep doing things the Jaguar way." No, they are 100% produced by Ford and under Ford's influence and control. Same goes for the other crap they own, especially Mazda. Sure, they still have independence in the way of say Volvo's safety pioneering, Aston Martin's namesake or Land Rover's box styling, but it's not like these companies are out there doing their own thing. Ford has their dick firmly planted in their asses.
