The US has no choice to leave Iraq at some point.
Arab countries are growing weary of the idea of the US military maintaining troops in Iraq.
Rumsfeld and others have said that the Iraqis (Shia security force) need to stand up. You can put them in uniform but you can't make them fight for all of Iraq. They may defend their town but not all of Iraq.
The Bush admin has set Iraq up for disaster. There is no avoiding it.
If US troops stay in Iraq, then it will turn into Vietnam (casualties everyday). It the US military leaves Iraq, then the government will be overthrown.
It's a no win. We knew this from the start.
