I expect the dem candidates to roll out a plan in Jan 08.
Until the Dubai ports deal, the immigration bill stall, and the Abramoff scandal, I would agree with you on the dems popular perception. But the perception is vastly different now.
I think the american people, most notably the people in midwest conservative states, are wondering who is running the republican party.
Crooks who take money at the expense of their constituents interests or imcompentents ? I don't think the base would vote Dem so soon but the people in the middle who really don't belong to either party will be swayed by Iraq and the declining income for middle class families.
