People are evil because of sin. It's human nature. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. But the good news is that Jesus died for the sins of the world. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life" John 3:16. So there is a way out, but unfortunatly world peace by efforts of men and women is not the answer, never has never will.
It doesn't matter whether you believe it or not, its the truth and the truth is the truth no matter what we think.
