Well yeah, that's true. So sadly, the game is now being able to tell the difference between lies that are (or if they are) innocuous and those that are not.

Peace in our time? Lie. Mostly harmless. The Military Industrial complex is on a diet, but funded sufficiently to turn on a dime if neccesary and keep all the MAD stuff in working order.

Constant Warfare for it's own sake? Lie. It will kill us dead (literally and economically) just like it did the Soviet Union.

China could bomb us using nothing but their citizens bodies for a decade before they'd have to worry with dropping something explosive. We're not invincible. We never were invincible. I hope we never BECOME invincible. WE need some humility to regain some common sense so we won't keep being the laughing stock of (while frightening) the rest of the civilized world.

Smart and strong is respectible.

Stupid and musclebound (Ironically, just exactly the way the extreme right wing wants to portray the same government they want to "drown in a bathtub" but have made BIGGER AND STUPIDER by leaps and bounds) makes us a "STUPID GIANT". A STUPID GIANT is a "STUPID GIANT" no matter who gets the Air Force One Frequent flier miles. Government has to be big enough to function efficiently at the behest of it's consitiuents, but not big enough to operate independent of them.





Demand Better Candidates and stop listening to privately funded campaign season media drool. If the news outlet will sling shit in both directions, leave the channel alone. If it skews one way or the other (and then pretends to be "fair and balanced) it's not worth the watts it takes to put on the air. Try PBS maybe. AVOID looking at only ideologically linked BLOGS.
