If you would have actually read the Bible like you said you did, you wouldn't have ever said there is no "telling us to kill people.
Religion is always adopted by a certain type of people just so they can use that religion they just made up to justify their going against another certain type of people.
Religion is just a tool, and a DAMNED good one too..... pun intended.
