My fave is school shootings, air crashes or natural disasters. Don't get me wrong, I don't even like to think what an experience like that would do to you but I just can't help laughing at the media.
Everyone is so damned determined to be the first with the most hysterical bullshit.
First report "1,000,000 people killed in ...."
Second report "Over 50,000 killed in..."
Third report "10,000 killed and over 20,000 injured..."
And so on and so forth until a week later you read a small insignificant column in the newspaper stating that 3 people were confirmed dead and it's not even going to court for another 12 months.
I blame the internet.
