Nothing like that here.

It wasn't a flood like thousands of houses damaged, it was the street drainage not able to cope with a particularly heavy downpour, a handful of houses near the intersection affected.

Water level on the street covered the footpath and ended up coming up the wall to our house; came in through the air vents in the bricks, then up through the polished wood floor and about an inch or so deep through the ground floor.

More annoying than anything else. At least we get a new floor and renovate out the ground floor. The question is exactly what to do about it all. We don't know if we want to move back in.
