I'm going to say it: It's good to see a man who presents as a woman still use the "he/him" pronoun.
We had spates of Dame Edna in America, and not so much him or his other characters (or without searching for them), so the obit was educational. Not the full story, as the Aussies here say, but more than we in America were aware of that he wasn't a one-trick pony though we here only saw that one trick.
Was not aware he was 89, so indeed... a good run and a storied career.
