On a positive note, let's have a wish list:
1. Hydrogen fuel cells.
2. Lawn mower size petrol engine to power converting water back into hydrogen and oxygen, can also be plugged in (mains and rapid charging).
3. Solar panels mounted under roof racks with a wire mesh to protect the panels.
4. Comfortable seats, like a 1980's Rolls Royce (you have to ride in one of those!).
5. Long suspension, can handle the same bumps but more comfy ride (copied from Peugeot).
6. No surplus electronics as in Quasi's post above.
7. Like Toyota Landcruiser, Yaris 4WD (as sold here in Australia), Land Rover or IENOS, plus a family sedan.
8. Range of 900kms assuming 90kg adult with no luggage.
9. No lithium Ion batteries.
