I think you are wrong but I am unable to change your mind because I lack the creative writing ability.
Essentially the religeous educational model requires you to attend your church for a lifetime,
then only after you die are the answers revealed to you.
Hard to contradict such faith and equally hard to prove it.
It's an ecellent business model.
That's why I prefer Scientology,
they tll you exactly how much money to spent to reach each level,
then they actualy give you the answers.
A different but equally excellent business model.
But I know you and I are both pj smiley

The Church is the original social media. Except they don't require you to chop off your genitalia, just a portion of it.....
Weather or not you believe in their diatribe, the system they espouse was and has been and is there for those whom question laws and government as well as persons and groups who have nothing else, to believe in something. you can site wars and such by saying that religion is the culprit, but when you look at the over all picture, socialism has never had an amicable ending.

I keep having believers of differing faiths tell me I'm not a real atheist. When I ask them what that means they say it's because I don't act like one.

I'm a bit flabbergasted.

Since I accept and respect their right to hold a different theological opinion, at least in their eyes, that then makes me seem unathestic to 'em? Really? I'm perplexed by this.

What seems most perplexing however is their own lack of acceptance or respect for MY right to hold a differing theological view. That level of respect is almost never given in return.

Secondly, and I've paid close attention to this, so here goes.

When I relate to a believer that I'm an atheist 2 things immediately happen.

1. Their face softens as if they suddenly realized they were talkin to an idiot child.
2. Then the 1st words out of their mouth are "I'm sorry." or " Oh, I'm so sorry" or "I'm so sorry to hear you say that" 100% of the time, without exception!

Being that I'm neither an idiot child, nor do I feel a need to feel sorry that they hold a differing viewpoint, both of these reactions are truly incomprehensible (<- and no, for all you jeebus/mohammed the child rapist apologists/budhas fat belly humpers out there who might be wondering, I didn hafta look that word up in a dictionary or a thesaurus).

Just a cuppla things that make me go WTF?
