Dat Nuthin'

Lionel Ritchie, back in the day, before his whore spawn got that TV show with Paris Hilton.

The divorce settlement started with Lionel offering $55K per month and letting Diane keep their $5 million home, but she declined that offer.
Then came the request of $300K per month to maintain the standard of living that she and Lionel had enjoyed together.
Among her requests were;
$50,000 per month for "personal services" like manicures, massages, and vitamins.
$20,000 per year for plastic surgery
$15K each month for clothing.

Diane stated, "I know that he earns in excess of $300,000 per month, because we have always comfortably spent at least that in any given month." Their mortgage at the time, per court paperwork, was $75,000 per month, not to mention salaries for nine full-time home staff.

FYI Diane Alexander was apparently a backup dancer & they are said to have met at an Olympics performance in 1984.

BRIFFAULT’S LAW:

The female, not the male, determines all the conditions of the animal family. Where the female can derive no benefit from association with the male, no such association takes place.

There are a few corollaries I would add:

1. Past benefit provided by the male does not provide for continued or future association.

2. Any agreement where the male provides a current benefit in return for a promise of future association is null and void as soon as the male has provided the benefit (see corollary 1).

3. A promise of future benefit has limited influence on current/future association, with the influence inversely proportionate to the length of time until the benefit will be given and directly proportionate to the degree to which the female trusts the male.

CALIFORNIA LAW:

California is a community property state.
Family Code Section 2550 requires the community estate to be divided equally.
This means that absent an agreement between the parties to the contrary,
the Court is obligated to make sure there is an exact 50/50 division of community assets and debts.
